The JKs had reading buddies today with Ms. Chiappetta's grade 3 class!

100th Day of School Crowns
The students coloured crowns for the 100th day of school!

The students rolled a die and coloured in the number on a 100 chart.

Froot Loops Necklace
The students were given 100 Froot Loops, a 100 chart and pipe cleaners. They were to place the cereal on the chart, to ensure they had 100 pieces, and then they put the cereal onto the pipe cleaners.

• Pancake Tuesday is moved to March 5th.
• Re-Registration forms are due February 11th! If you have any questions, please let me know and I will gladly help you! The class that hands in 100% of their forms first will win a pizza party!!
• Aftercare invoices are due by February 15th. 
• Please remember that Monday and Wednesday are gym uniforms, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are academic uniforms. Students must wear white socks with the gym uniform and navy socks with the academic uniform.

Today the students listed words that begin with the letter Z, as well as sang the song of the week. We also sang previous songs of the week and went over words that start with past letters! We watched Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew Letter Z. Later we created the letter Z out of Play-Doh.

Today one students worked on her patterning assessments, she did great! Later in the day, the students found items in the room to create a pattern with. The students chose to make patterns out of blocks, sponges and plastic gears.

Poems
We have been practicing the poems in class and the students are all doing great! We went to Ms. Padovan's room to watch her students present their poems! Our class enjoyed seeing how the other class did, as well as seeing what they will be presenting on Monday!

Inquiry Centres
The students enjoyed inquiry centres today! They had fun playing with blocks, the pirate ships, gems and ice cube trays. Some students made a pattern by placing gems inside of the ice cube trays.
