Cookie Decorating
We decorated Halloween cookies! The students were given icing and candies to put on top of a ghost or a pumpkin! They were sent home in a bag for them to eat tonight!

House Game
The school came together at the end of the day for a costume contest and house game! Kappa won the student costume contest and Zeta won for the teachers. For the house games, three students from each house were chosen to wrap a teacher in toilet paper to make a mummy. Zeta came in first place, then Theta in second, and Kappa in third. The students enjoyed cheering for their house!

Inquiry into Language
Today the students worked on the letter E. They sang the song of the week and watched Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew and the Letter E. Later in the day they created E out of Play-Doh. Once they showed me they knew how to create the uppercase and lowercase, they were able to create anything they wanted. While the students were working with Play-Doh, I called the remaining students to finish writing letters C and K.

Daily five
Today the students had the chance to pick a book and silently look through the pages! They were encouraged to look for letters that they knew.
