Earth Day
The students listened to the story Earth Day by Mercer Mayer.

Earth Day Craft
The students were given a coffee filter with blue and green markers. They were to colour the earth! Ms. Fisher and I then sprayed the filter with water for the colours to blend together!

Cosmic Kids Yoga
The students enjoyed participating in yoga!

Animals
We began talking about animals today! The students listed their favourite animals. We also discussed what helps the animals survive.

Math
The students were given a measurement sheet, in which the had to cut and paste animals in order of tallest to shortest!

• Tuesday, April 23rd is our Earth Day Spirit Day, students are to come in blue, green and/or brown

Donate to people who are homeless 

Hi!! Our names are Mona, Joana, and Shivam. 

We are doing a project called Exhibition where we choose a topic we are interested in and want to research more about in order to make a positive difference in our world. We chose the topic of homelessness because we do not want anyone to be without their basic needs. Every person has the right to have a home and food to eat and clothing to wear. 

 We are collecting donations so that we can donate them to Angela’s Place, a homeless shelter right here in Mississauga.

You can donate:

• Non perishable food
• Clothing (for all ages such as Pants, shirts, hats ,shoes and more) 
• Toiletries (mouthwash, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrush, and deodorant)  
• Seasonal clothing
• Baby formula 
• Diapers 
• Baby products 

Reason why we are doing this= Our plan is to help people who are homeless who need food and clothing and any other useful materials. After collecting these materials, we are going to donate all these items to a shelter called “Angela's Place” (45 Glenn Hawthorne Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5R 4J9).

Please bring in items by Tuesday April 23, 2019 to Ms. Jaskolka's class (Room 30)

Easter Egg Hunt
The students went outside and did an Easter Egg Hunt! They each found 4 eggs!

Easter Craft
The students were given the choice between making a chick or a bunny, they were given cut outs and stickers! They were to place the eyes, ears or beak, and the feet together. They then brought it to Ms. King to hot glue everything together! We had two grade 2s come to help us!!

The students were given a worksheet with different sized giraffes, and squares beside them. They were to colour in the squares to the height of the giraffe.

The students were given a worksheet with a picture of an egg with shapes inside, each shape was given a colour. They were to colour in the shapes with the corresponding colour.
