Reminders:
- Re-Registration forms are due February 11th! If you have any questions, please let me know and I will gladly help you! The class that hands in 100% of their forms first will win a pizza party!!
- Please practice the poems at home with your child, they will be presenting them on Monday.
- The SJA parent guild is spreading cookie love for Valentine's Day. There will be a cookie decorating party on February 14th. You can get 4 cookies for $5, and must be pre-ordered by Friday, February 1st.
- Send your child in with materials that can be glued onto canvas for their summative assessment.
- Please remember that Monday and Wednesday are gym uniforms, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are academic uniforms. Students must wear white socks with the gym uniform and navy socks with the academic uniform.

Inquiry into Language
Today the students listed words that begin with the letter J, as well as sang the song of the week. They watched Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew. Later in the day they created the letter J out of Play-Doh.
Math
Today the students participated in pattern centres. At one table they were to make AB, AAB, and ABB patterns using beads. They were able to choose the colour beads they want to use. At the other table they used candy "buttons" to create AB, ABB, ABC patterns. They were to continue the pattern that was already on the table.

Daily five
Today we read a book called "Hello Snow", with Ms. Fisher. After reading the book we discussed what we did during the snow day!
