Today the class started off in the gym! The students were separated into their houses, and they participated in announcements and watched how the house points were given.

After announcements, they went to Ms. Fishers room for gym with Ms. Yustin. Once gym was done, we went to the washroom, and for morning snack. Then we did our morning circle, and finished the Rainbow Fish book.

We then did our Jolly Phonics, this week we are learning the letter 'S'. The students enjoyed saying words that started with 'S', such as star, snow, sun, and sit.

After Jolly Phonics, the students enjoyed interest centres. The students all started out exploring their own toys, however, after a bit the class pretended there was a fire in the room and they were all firefighters. They used the blocks to create different ways to put out the fire.

The students then had indoor recess, and lunch. The classroom was a big mess and all of the materials in the room were mixed. We spent time cleaning up and sorting everything. We talked about how it was important to make sure we put the toys away in the correct spot, so that we do not have to spend time later cleaning everything. We also discussed how sorting is a part of math, I explained how everything has attributes and we can sort based off of those features, such as a red rock.

After cleaning, I put on a yoga video for the students to participate it. Then it was time for French.

Once French was done, we had indoor recess again, and lunch.

We then had math, the students worked on work sheets where they had to colour the number of items that the number beside it says. For example, 2 ducks, or 1 butterfly.

The students then played in the interest centres until it was time to pack up and go home!
